Stello has redone the DA100. I saw the updated version at CES. Slight price increase but far better parts. Still a steal for the price. Matched with the headphone amp it would make one sweet setup. Thinking along those very lines myself actually for my home office.

As for a review - I'm working on it. Cross your fingers.

Anything more specific? Like what parts are updated?

Wow, that's a great deal you got there. Let us know your impression once you get a chance to play with the amp.

I'll be really impressed if you get the DA100 for the same deal . But I used to own the DA100 and it's one stunning piece of gear soundwise/featurewize. I still believe it's the best bang for the buck sound-wise.

well,, i don't own the DA100 anymore since I had to sell it to fund the DAC1 since I wanted to go balanced. It was unfortunate that the DA100 didn't have balanced outs otherwise I would have kept it. But here's the pic whic the DA100 and my gcha. This was an amazing setup with the akg701 and gcha... best of singled-ended/solid-state imho.

By the way, $550 for the DA100 new is not bad. Not bad at all since I had to pay $785 to get it shipped to U.S.
