Basically, I picked up some Apple Earpods from Target today.

Got them from Target because of their no questions asked return policy and wanted a chance to try it before sticking with them or getting something else.

I gave them a test run today and they're the first set of in-ear headphones that have ever stayed in my ears while doing any level of activity (even the $10 sony headphones with the little ear clip thing bounces off once in a while).  That said, they are also a pretty decent upgrade from the Sony headphones in sound quality, but obviously don't come close to my over the head headphones that I use in doors.

Basically, are there a pair of headphones for the same price that will also do well with staying in my ear and outperform the earpods in general?  Or should I just stick with these?

As far as the amp goes, when using my amp (via LOD), the commands on the earpods don't work (volume/song change from the headphones).  I am pretty much forced to use the amp because the headphone jack on my Ipod touch is messed up, so it only gives sound in the right ear.  Is there any way to make the earpods controls work when I'm using the amp?  I bike a lot and being able to use the headphones to change my song would be a lot easier than taking my ipod out of my pocket every time I wanted to do so.

Sounds like time to buy a new iPod.

Too expensive and using the amp, I get sound in both.  I was just asking if there was a way to get the earpods to work with the amp.  If the answer is no then I just live with it the way it is.  Getting a new Ipod isn't an option right now

I believe the iPod headphone jack is a three channel jack, right, left, control.
I'm assuming the "control" channel, where the commands are sent thru.
I believe all the LOD to 3.5mm cables are only 2-channel, right and left.

the Sony EX310, Panasonic HJE450, JVC FXC50 are prett decent for the price and they sound great.
