Your setup mirrors mine: single ended Gemini so I use the either the HiBy R4 or RS6 4.4mm LO to the Gremlin. I set it up probably 2x per month for a Saturday night listening session. I have swapped tubes though and I'm using a pair of new production mullard 12au7s.

I believe I bought the same new production Mullards!

Just need to take the time to put them in and try them out.

Mine looks like this too. No coloration.

I did, however, notice one of the parts on the front is leaning (the rightmost cap in front of the right tube).

Probably not cause for concern?

If you don’t like that the capacitor is tilted toward the tube base, you can carefully straighten it with your fingers — but only when the amp is turned off and has completely cooled down.

As for the resistor — it does get very hot and generates a lot of heat, so a change in its external color isn’t a cause for concern. The main thing is that it doesn’t affect the sound or the proper functioning of the Gremlin.

I’ve also noticed that the Gremlin starts to sound better after it’s been on for a while — usually more than an hour. I assume that’s due to the tubes warming up? I’m using CORE tubes.

Here's mine with an aftermarket silver knob.

I also put tube savers (risers) on so that I can reach the tubes to replace them without unscrewing the top acrylic plate. The savers also have the added benefit of taming the tube socket LEDs - which I found to be a bit obnoxious.

Also note that I am using RCA to XLR adapters so that I can use a single ended source. The Gremlin still puts out plenty of volume with the adapter - rarely needing to go over 12 o'clock.

@Apos Audio Can the Gremlin work with a ifi ipower elite 24v 2.5A power supply ?
I realize this question wasn't directed at me, so please excuse the interruption.
However, I believe the Gremlin should work perfectly fine with this power supply.
