Im planning to get a Grado RA1 on next monday for my RS1

been thinking for long time should i connect my apogee from headphone jack or lineout.Since im gotta grab a cable for it.

As for output to speaker,the lineout sounds much better than thru headphone jack,but not sure to output to headamp thou..

I think the headphone out goes through the Duets amp while the line out doesn't. When I hooked up my headphones to iMac, Duet line out and Duet headphone jack I go from worse to better in terms of sound quality. Hope that helps.

If you are running the Duet as a DAC with another amp then you should definitely use the line out. You don't want to be going through two separate gain stages.
