My question is I'm looking for the best hybrid amp for the LCD-3 and HD800s. Is the Apex Peak still relevant for the price? I hope no one gets offended as I just don't really know the tube market that well and I've read good things about the Apex Peak with the HD800s but I don't know about the LCD-3s

thanks for your time everyone

Hopefully you have perused this already:

I could not find the objective measurements for you, but their Butte and Glacier measure pretty well.

I think Apex recommends replacing the stock tube which can be read at the end of Tyll's review.

Thanks NA Blur, I have read this before but I feel very dumb as I can't figure out whether Tyll is saying he really loves it with the LCD's or if he just "likes" it

According to Tyll's review, he loved the LCD2 R1 combination...didn't have the HD800's on hand but according to the amp qualities it may not be a perfect match (a bit too intense)

yea I remember that part but at the same time I heard someone here say that they couldn't imagine using the HD800s without the Peak. I'll keep searching
