Its only when you look at the thing in Tyll's hand in the YouTube vid that the penny drops:

Either Tyll is the size of Mt Rushmore, or that is one very small 'desktop' amp. I'm thinking from the vid 'This cant be any bigger than the original Lisa III !'. Sure, its mains-powered, but thats no impediment to my 'ultimate transportable rig' dream. How does the sound compare to the 'big boy' amps that will never leave your house ? Beats me, but for 495 USD its cheaper than many of Ray's portable amps, and not a whole lot bigger.
