I tired them out and liked them. What is holding me back is that they are really ugly and I wouldn't want to wear them in public. So where does that leave me? K181dj? What else is there that compares?

You should try on some hd280s or srh840s, now they're ugly

Isolation wise would be tough to find anything better. AT M50s sound better though. Beyer dt250s perhaps?

Errr... I thought the HD25s are quite small compare to many other cans I see on the street (e.g. Sony's). I've seen a few guys wearing them around town and looked fine to me. Let me tell you something, I used to wear HD280s around before getting myself a pair of IEMs...

The K181 is much, much bigger. I wear the HD25-1 outside just fine but the K181 is pushing it.

Maybe I'm overly self-conscious..... Just seems like there are shockingly few nice portables compared to the vast variety of IEMs.

I much prefer the Ultrasone DJ1Pro both in looks and sound to the Senn, but of course that is personal. But it is large. And yes, there are very few good out-and-about headphones as opposed to earphones.

I wore my RX700s out in public everyday. Of course that all changed once I got my PX200-IIs XD *thank god* Sorry I can't help you though, haven't heard those senns.
