Just curious, I've had pretty good luck with USB but when I went to Firewire today it couldn't make it through more than transferring 15 tracks from the NJB3 to the computer before hanging or crashing with a Application Error. Is there a trick to this I'm missing?

Win 2000 SP whatever with £20 firewire card. Worked first time, all the time. I would never go USB 1.1 on the NJB3!!!!

Try some data transfer first to see where your problems are. Maybe download Notmad and try that too.

Well, it's going to have to wait a bit since I leave on a trip tomorrow, but apparently my laptop doesn't want to work and play nicely with others.

My JB3 transfers via firewire, and it's never given me a problem. I have XP home.

So do I, I never even bothered trying USB. It works just fine, and I also have XP Home.

Now that I've stumbled into a NJB3 thread, I am wondering if anyone actually uses waves instead of mp3's, and do they drain the battery significantly more? (sorry if this is off topic.)
