Recently I got a Sony D-33 pcdp. Since I have the unit only, I need to buy a 9V DC adaptor. Does anybody can tell me what is the original sony adaptor's output current? (9V DC 500 mA ??)

I don't have the D-33, but I can tell you that you only need to match the voltage. I recommend getting the greatest current capacity you can find and afford. The player will only take as much as it needs--and sometimes it can use more than the stock AC/DC adapter would supply. I learned this when I bought a new adapter for my Panasonic SL-SX460; I was quite surprised to find that the sound changed.

By the way, pick a regulated adapter if you can.

Congrats, on the d33!

You want to get a good regulated ps for the d33or any pcdp, or for that matter. As David said, get one with the highest ma rating. It does make a difference.

If you diy, you could make one yourself and do better than any off the shelf wallwarts, IMO.
