Anyone used both HiFiMan HE-400i and HyperX Cloud Core/Stinger? How does the bass varies between these headphones? (for movies/TV)

I have used Cloud Core in the past and I am currently using Cloud Stinger. These do not have the ideal bass (both in amount and quality) but I guess it's sufficient.

I am looking for the best headphones for movies within 250 AUD (200 USD). HE-400i seems to be a really good option but they are noted for their lack of bass. How bad is it?

Btw sound isolation is not an issue for me

I'm liking my Takstar HF 580 planar headphones.

The only good gaming headphones I have ever used were the Plantronic Rig Flex.

I literally just got the HE400i 2020 and so far with music, bass has been really good. It's there, is deep, it hits hard, but isn't at all boomy, it's bliss.
Will be watching Kong vs Godzilla tonight so will let you know how they go with an action movie.

I played a bunch of Forza Motorsport 7, and watched the start of the movie.
The HE400i 2020 are effing amazing, especially for the price of them.

In saying that, you will want an amp to drive them, which will add to the cost.

The gaming headsets will be lower impedance and more efficient, so an amp wouldn't be required.
And alot of them come with USB DACs anyway
