The History Channel ran a show last night called, "Save Our Sounds." The show was about the efforts currently underway to save the legacy of recorded American sound over the last 100 or so years. It was a fascinating program, including segments on a subversive Woody Guthrie song, and on the recorded output of Leadbelly. I'm sure it'll replay, catch it if you can.

The organization's web site is at http://www.saveoursounds.org and appears to be a worthwhile project.

(I couldn't help but think of Tuberoller's vinyl collection while I watched.

I'll try to catch when it comes on here... I'll have a peek at the link too
