The database in stored in the Mac Library. This is a hidden directory. Access is through the Finder. Click "Go" and then hold down the Option key and Library will appear in the drop down menu. While still pressing Option click on Library. Find the folder called Application Support and scroll down to Fidelia. Open the folder and you will see a file called Fidelia Library. Delete that file.
Next scroll down the Library folder and locate an entry /YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.audiofile.fidelia.plist. Delete this file also. This resets your preferences.
These steps were given to me by Fidelia support.
You will have to rebuild your library and playlists. Fidelia says that a forthcoming update will include tools for fixing the database, but for now this is the best they can do.
It's painful, but it does work.
By the way, don't mess with the Library unless you know what you're doing.
