I'm going to receive my Gilmore Lite on Monday and I was just curious what it adds to the headphone amp as compared to just using the Wall-Wart power supply that comes with it stock. Is it supposed to be louder or just better sounding or what?

It's generally viewed to improve the sound. I haven't heard it but if you do a search there are lots of impressions from owners posted in this forum.
