As Title states. i'm interested in stating to learn about home theaters I am 5-10 years away from doing a nice system, but I am kinda curious about them right now. Might buy a house, so an addition at a later time would have the home theater in it. Probably in the basement. Kidna curious of any tricks that can be done during construction of the addition.

Anyways. Anyone know of some good forums?

AVS Forum is one of the best & biggest

AVS is a tremendous resource. They even have a remote control forum. As far as class and good will, AVS seems to be frequented by an older set so you will see less flames, although it does carry a more businesslike tone that focuses on the subject at hand.
