You would have to head up to Culver City, west of LA, for DXC audio i believe. That's the only place I've found to have high end headphones for try outs.

I'd be pretty interested in this info too. The only places I think you can demo stuff around here is limitedly at the apple store and maybe at best buy (they have that high end audio section).

I believe they sell Stax products. They're located in the Gardena area.

Guitar Center has some high-end stuff sometimes, but they tend to have inflated prices...
