I believe Iomega makes one, or at least they used to.
I know with absolute certainty that a company makes one the size of an old discman (the thick-ish sony's from 10 years ago) but I don't know the company or the price.

I've believe Marantz sells professional portable cd-r recorders for musicians. They are very expensive and might not be what you're looking for.

You can find the Sony one once in a while on Ebay. Do a search there and you may come up lucky.

Does the Imation RipGo count? Can only be used with the 8cm cd-rs, not the normal sized ones. Can be had fairly cheap on eBay, as Imation has discontinued them. Here's an example:
