Title pretty much says it all. I want to install a (slim) Toshiba MK1634GAL 160GB hard drive in my original 2006 80GB Classic, but I've seen conflicting information online about whether it would be compatible or not, due to the 127GB limitation on some iPods.  I know that Apple released a 160GB model at the same time as the 80GB, but it used a thicker hard drive than the MK1634GAL.
 
Any help would be appreciated.

You can only install MK1634GAL in the Late 2009 160GB thin model.
 
It is not compatible with any other iPod Classic
