I still have my AD700s working well but I don't think they are made anymore now. As I have said before, I can't imagine a more open and spacious sound. I have looked at the reviews WhatHiFi have given to these two headphones and they gave the AD700s 5 star and the AD700Xs , a 4 star. One of the things they didn't like was the very bright treble. I am very used to that now. If I ever ended up getting them, I would want them to sound the same or very similar. At the moment, they seem to be much more expensive than what I paid for my AD700. I paid £87 for them. If anybody has heard the AD700X, I would be interested to know how they compare to each other.
