I was wondering which would be the better to go with. I listen mostly to symphonies, piano concertos, baroque, and progressive metal(i.e. Rhapsody, Dream Theater, Fates Warning). I would be using A900s and HD650s.
I can't find anything outlining all the changes in the EA TurboMod, anyone know? I like that the Bel Canto supports USB, I know the DAC1 doesn't unless one gets the usb version.
EDIT: one more thing. I am using my computer as source with an XFI Forte. I could plug into the DAC via optical or RCA.
EDIT: Found some threads of DAC3 vs. DAC1(un-modded). Doesn't really help though. Can't really find too much useful information. There is a DAC1 Turbomod thread from 2005 but it doesn't give too much substantial information and it's just the TurboMod without the opamp upgrade.
