Does anyone have any informormation on the Stax SRM T1S energiser? There's very little mention of it on any forums or websites. It would appear to have been similar to the T1 but with the addition of balanced inputs and no "pre heat". Was it an advancement on the T1 or did it run concurrently? The modern equivalent would appear to be the 006. In fact, I'm not sure what the differences are between the 006 and T1S.

Any info would be appreciated.

T1S was the replacement/continuation of the original T1 model. IIRC, aside from the difference you already mentioned, T1S used shieled wires inside while T1 used non-shielded wires.

You're correct, 006t was the replacement for T1S. The internal of 006t looks very similar to that of T1S. I've read elsewhere that 006t is supposedly an improvement over T1S sonically. Although I've also been told that older Stax driver units had better build quality.

EDIT - And T1 came in black w/ gold letters, while T1S came in the current brownish/goldish color.

Also years of introduction
T1 - 1987
T1S - 1993
006t - 1999
