i'm pretty sure this is from the early 80's. which is when marantz products started to go downhill.

it wouldn't be a bad deal for $10. but, if you look harder and maybe check some local garage sales and attics you might find a nice marantz or sansui model from the 70's. which would be really nice!

You probably can't get better for 10 bucks, but I agree with Princeclassic that there are better pieces out there. They will probably cost more, though. (But for 10 bucks, it is pretty hard to resist)
