My office was cleaning out a back room and found a pair of Canton Plus D speakers as follows:

Plus-D, 2-way, 2-driver speaker system, bass reflex

I quickly claimed them.

I've identified them as being from the 1999 lineup, thanks to a brochure on eBay. But I've got no idea what these are worth. I don't think my home Stereo is beefy enough to drive them properly.

Anyone know anything about these? I can only find the speaker mounts for them online. They're white.

I am conviced that they are similar to MB Quarts. I don't know if the companies are related, but they seem to use a very similar (if not the same) allow tweeter, and they information labels on the back of the speakers look virtually identical, save the actualy name of the company. Maybe it is some German thing...

Give them a listen. I have some old MB Quart QLC-200 bookshelves. They sound rather nice. Very open highs...not quite bright, but maybe to some. Clean though.
