I was recommended these when I asked for a beater pair of monitors. I was going to buy them but I saw an eBay auction for a pair of AKG K-301's.
If you get them, let us know how they are (the 301's aren't closed, as I thought.

i thought they were nice till i found this forum. Now they sound kind of veiled...more so than sennheiser. Detail is ok, bass is present but not overwhelming. They also get hot REALLY quickly
realize there is 16 feet of cord with these headphones--i was only able to use them for watching TV at night so as not to disturb others, but could still get up and move around the room without having to take the phones off. But the cord was too much to use as any kind of portable, even balled up.
I've kept them as my TV backups~~for the $25 that they were when i bought them, it's a decent enough deal and they serve their purpose
