I'm sure someone has. I'm slightly considering trying another amp for the hell of it and this one looks as good as any...

Any thoughts?

Is it possible that I would be the first here to hear this amp? That seems unlikely. I'm sure it's at least been to a meet. What about the Non-SE? Bump for input.

I have a Prehead Mk.II prototype model, which is basically the same as the production model except for a couple of details. It is a GREAT amp and a fine preamp. I have not used it much in the latter capacity, but I have spent many hours listening to mostly HD650s and CD3000s, with an occasional HF-1 stint in there as well. It is a very clean and highly resolving amp, but it does not have the harshness or sharp edge of some solid state amps I have heard. The SE is probably even sweeter still, and I amazed that nobody has responded that they have one. I say GO FOR IT, and then post your impressions pronto!

I'm going to give this one more bump, and then I'll let it die.

It's a lot more tempting now that I am starting to think that I'd be one of very few to own one...
