Nagbabalak kasi ako magpagawa :D pinagpipilian ko heir audio or 1964 ears :D pwede sana UE or Westone kaso sobrang mahal given na student lang ako. Eto ang question: Saan may "audiologist" around metro manila? and how much po yung tax? And any CIEM company na na try niyo?

I think merong audiologist sa Megamall. Was about to go CIEM route din pero ayoko kasi maghintay hehe.  Unique melody has a branch here in Manila and from what I've read maganda ang mga CIEM nila.

Just sold my cable-less IE8 for 5.5k to some guy from UK and bought an IE80 for 16k on Sennheiser Virra Mall. Burning them in.

Yung gusto ko is yung Unique Melody Aero. 25k base price. So nalilito ako, kasi ang laking difference nun. Worth it ba ang 25k price tag?

Alam mo kabayan, sulit is subjective. Depends on your budget. You gotta understand that this hobby has endless satisfaction. Just as you thought you have the ultimate rig, hindi pa pala dahil may bago namang lalabas na mas maganda. For me, I find contentment with mine. Portable is portable, I use it for commuting and take it with me to put me to sleep. It will never rival a good desktop setup. If I had the dinero, I'll be having the JH13 but with the family and home expenses, I have to prioritize. Before I would get a ciem, I would make certain that my amp and source is up to par to warrant spending that amount of money. Like this moment, I am enjoying my Se215 and giving the w4r some rest. Se215 is $99.00 but I'm smiling. Ayan naman ay advise lang. You can do what you want.

Some wise words po! Thanks, tama po kayo. I asked my mom, sabi niya itong hobby na 'to or like any other hobby, walang katapusan. Laging may lalabas na "top of the line" model, so makuntento muna ako sa kung anong meron ako. Hmm, maybe I just stick with my UM1s for a while and explore some more universals muna. I'll just get a CIEM pag may trabaho na ako :D para worth ang every cent na I'll spend on it. :D and tama din kayo about sa rig, maybe I'll upgrade my rig before buying some high end IEMs :D thanks po sa advice :D btw, mas gusto nga ng mom ko bilhan ako ng bagong media player instead of buying 4r or customs for my birthday :D

The UM1's are great. From the UM1, you can gradually upgrade so that you will appreciate your heafi journey. UM1 to CIEM is like a baby becoming an adult overnight. Where's the in between beauty of the journey.
