Anyone ever order from Thomann?

I've used them a couple of times within the EU - very reliable service - took 1-2 days for my orders to be processed. I'm not sure of the VAT/Tax rules but I'm sure their online help would answer those questions for you.

Am trying to find out if I should get my order express mailed from Thomann, it's not too much...will I have to pay a VAT fee as they all it? Am in USA
I've order twice from Thomann (I'm in California) and would have no problem ordering from them again.
I doubt you will have to pay a VAT or other tax, but you would be required to report the purchase on your state tax return and pay whatever sales tax your state requires.
I kind of doubt Thomann will report the sale to your state tax board ;)

Did you use express shipping or regular shipping
It took about 7 days to arrive in California and it was I believe 2 headphones and six pairs of ear pads, so lighter stuff.

I think they generally don't do sales like that, rather they do discount certain items once in a while for reasons I haven't been able to figure.

Gotcha. I kinda figured as much, but figured I should ask folks who would know more than me. Thank you!

I'm no expert on it, just dented my wallet quite a bit over the last few years :D

Of course not.
VAT is typically EU, it is more ore less the equivalent of sales tax.
In the EU it is forbidden to sell to consumers without VAT. It is even forbidden to show prices without VAT.

If you use the USA site https://www.thomannmusic.com/ you get prices without VAT

Any clues if import taxes will be levied for items costing > $2000, my address is in Oregon which is sales tax free.
No.

What you might end up paying for are the levies the US puts on many things made in China. Things made in Russia might be totally verboten at this point. I haven’t tried to import Russian tubes.

You are likely to have to pay the parcel carrier for clearing your package through customs. Exact amount varies. I’ve encountered everything from nothing to $40 something.

I’ve bought several things from Thomann. With regular shipping to the US East Coast, it’s been about a week.

I don't think there is anything from Russia available on Thomann.
