I think it's 20W version of 300SEI.

I'm thinking about buying this one instead of buying Sha-series.

Will it be better choice than nomal SEI?
I can buy either a used SEI for $2,300 or a used LX-20 for $2,550.
An audiofile told me it has SEI's treble and mid + better controlled bass.
Does it mean SEI has problem with bass?

My current setup is

Marantz SA-14 -> Corda HA-1 or X-Can V2 -> HD600

Thx in Advance.

The only difference between the LX20 "version" and any other is the tubing. The LX20 uses KR LX20 300B tubes. Other available 300B tubes commonly used with the 300SEI (commonly... heh...) are tubes from Western Electric (WE) and several Chinese manufacturers.

The Cary I heard, and likely the one Audio&Me heard, was the using the LX20 tubes. Some say they prefer the WE tubes, but I wouldn't know, never having tried them.
