I was impressed to find a $50 Best Buy gift card in my mail box this morning and an offer to give me gift cards in exchange for all of my HD-DVD hardware and software that I want to trade in.

Seemed like a pretty nice thing to do as I was an early adopter and have had my Toshiba HD-A1 for two years now. Probably won't trade in the HD-DVD gear but I will put the $50 towards a new BluRay player for the bedroom.

all u gotta do is to brg your receipt of your HDDVD player (no laptop) taht was purchased after Jan 1st, 2008 and they give you a free 50$ bb gc!

my friend bought the microsoft HDDVD player attachment for 45$+tax (when HDDVD was dying), and then he went in a week after to get the free giftcard. He basically got himself a free HDDVD player with 7 free movies
