It really seems like Madonna was taking the right steps of change when she cut this new CD. Confessions on a Dance Floor is a very dancable electronic sounding pop with some engaging trance beats and disco influence. This is certainly the best CD she's come out with since Ray of Light, which was excellent as well. Music and American Life just still aren't the same, despite the help of William Orbit. It's pretty easy to listen to the whole CD at once, all of the songs are quite enjoyable, and blend together without pause. Anyone else really enjoying this CD? Have any recommendations for similar listening?

I'm fond of the music video - same thing cannot be said about the CD. It lacks certain qualities only a visual image could display

I rarely buy new pop albums, but I bought this one because "Hung Up" is catchy as hell.

It's an extremely well made album with lots going on sonically. Incredible bass. If you have a lot of wattage and really big speakers, you are in for a unique experience.

As usual, I have problems with Madonna's songwriting and how hard she tries to be deep. She can keep trying. She'll never pull it off.

There is one terrific song on the album: "Jump."

I cant stand madonnas voice...especially the "new" madonna.
When i say "new" I mean the super-pretentious, holier than thou, fake British accent madonna.
The music and production on this album are top notch, no doubt.
However, the lyrics are just plain silly.
If i could cut out the lyrics and voice, I would REALLy enjoy this album.
