Anybody Try The Project Headbox

I tried the basic version (only one output),, it was really not that good, I didn't find it better sounding than a cmoy.

I have the Head Box II which does an admirable job. I would not say however it beats the snot out of the headphone amp built aboard my NAD 116 preamp. The Project does not seem to have too much left over with my Sennheiser DH570, given these are pretty inefficient from what I've read. It is built well with a nice passthrough feature. I wish it had a power button. I think you are paying for build quality over sonics. I would like to compare to say a C&C portable amp to see if I'm getting much better performance.

i'm temporary runnng a headbox project to a grado sr125. For me it sounds pretty good. Cant really complain though i have nothing else to compare to at this time being.
Its punchy, tight bass, nice mids, cant really say for sure if there is something better until i get to try it w/something else.
