Anybody try modding Silverstone EB01?

I don't know much about modding, but perhaps one could start by replacing the opamps with OPA627s? I opened mine up and the opamps looked like they were soldered to the board... wonder what effect it would have on sound quality?

Perhaps! And as I have no idea about PCBs or EE in general, I don't know how good Silverstone's is.

But at 1/3 the price of the micro DAC, if it could be modded to sound better I think it'd be a great bargain, especially since newegg is now shipping $70 refurbished ones.

Here is the PCB. what do you think?

I recommend you to make more pictures to see what caps it uses. And better post it in DIY forum.
