Not compared to other people, but different between your two

I recently picked up some Super.Fi 4s from Costco, and have been evaluating the different tips (they came with three different sizes of silicone tips and two sets of Complys). Don't care for the Complys, and found that with the medium silicones I wouldn't get a good seal in my left ear, but with the large my right ear would hurt from it being too big. So now I'm happily using large for the left and medium for the right, with the side benefit of being to tell which is which when I'm putting them on in the dark.

It's pretty likely that your ears are of different sizes. When using Shure olives, my right ear is medium, but my left ear is small. (Or vice versa)

Indeed, my left ear canal is larger than my right. I would do different ear tips to remedy that, but then I get imbalanced sound, and that's not worth it IMO.

Yes, different ear canal sizes. I have an old pair of Future Sonics custom sleeves (for the ancient EM3 phones) and that is a great (and ultra expensive) way to tell how your ear canals differ. My right is larger than left. I would send a photo of the sleeves, but they are old and yellowed. Pretty clear to see, though.
