Anyone know of a way to use iTunes with Windows XP x64, or some other app that is compatible? It's pretty pathetic that Windows x64 has been out so long, and Apple has yet to create a compatible version

Oh, I tried the Redchair software, and it wouldn't work either.

what error are you getting? i thought 32 bit apps run via the wow64 emulator.

Try MEDIAMONKEY. i don't have x64 - but alot of people use this program to sync with their iPod. see if it works. good luck!

I tried it, and it would only let me view/edit contacts calanders & notes. I'm going to try the new WMP 11 beta later tonight.

Ah ha, you're a geek like me and run x64 windows for no reason! (I got it bundled with a motherboard/CPU deal, what's your excuse?)

Download a slightly older version of iTunes and it should install fine. Here's a link.

An alternative is to use Rockbox (the installer works fine on x64 http://www.ipodwizard.net/showthread.php?t=8585) and x64 will still recognize the iPod nicely.

The older version is working great, thanks! Makes me wonder why the newer versions are incompatible..

I'm using x64 because it's a tad bit faster than regular XP, and I really haven't had problems with it besides iTunes. Plus, it was like $30 cheaper than XP Pro & it's built on server 03
