What I did to make mine marginally better-looking was ditch the ugly and less comfortable earclip piece for the thin black earclips of my dead KSC-35's, but no matter what the KSC-75 is going to be an ugly little thing. Probably the single best audiophile value out there, though.

haha I did just the opposite of you DS21...I put the moldable earclips of the ksc75 on my beloved ksc35s...what resulted was a beautiful pair of headphones that had the best of both worlds...my ksc75s were meant to be recabled but I have yet to learn how to do so...so now they just sit on the sidelines..

perhaps to improve...paint the metal housing? i know a lot of head-fiers here are very scared to do so for fear of damaging the drivers...it's worth a try though since the ksc75s are so inexpensive and available..

I have a feeling that head-fi'ers are the only people that would pay a lot attention to headphones, and even then most don't really care what they look like.
I have no problem walking around with HD414 pads (undyed) on my MS-1's, and as Dept_of_Alchemy said, the uglier they are, the less likely you are to get mugged.

sadly no. Last 35s I saw were when creative labs liquidated their NOS on ebay. I wish I'd bought two as my left driver's cable is disconnecting and I'm afraid to work on the thing myself. FWIW, the 35 shines with amplification I've found. The highs are recessed in comparison to the 75, and so it is not preferable for simple portable use. Also, they're getting rare.
