FWIW I'm taking a tax course in law school this semester.
In general you probably won't get good legal advice by asking online. Most lawyers don't answer questions online (even privately) for fear of liability or sanction. Your best bet would be to contact your state bar's lawyer referral service, if you don't know anyone who can recommend a good tax lawyer in your area.
Do get legal counsel as soon as possible... it's surprising what can be done to dig yourself out of a hole.
