Apple has an UK online store, and it does list the 4G iPods...

i could be wrong but i think there is an apple store in manchester or somewhere.
bit of a trek i know, but the virgin megastore near me sells ipods.
dunno if they'll have the 4g yet.
i say sells, you place an order in the store, and they get one in for you to pick up i believe
