Most stores like guitar center I found don't sell audiophile cans. More in the mid to low range.

Best buy sells nothing but trash.

Is there any store in the LA area thst sells premium audiophile headphones like fostex denon, audeze?

Hi all, reviving this thread because I'll be in LA in May and was looking forward to demoing some headphones and IEMs. No such place in my country so it's a unique opportunity. Given the last response was in 2018, I imagine there might be some other places to check out..

The Source AV in Torrance, CA (linked above) is probably the best place in SoCal to both audition stuff and have questions answered by decades-long-worked (probably centuries-long-worked for some staff) industry experts, so you should ask them about anyone who can speak Portuguese there, just so you can have your technical questions answered properly. Also, you can call manufacturers Audeze, Rosson Audio, or even Dan Clark Audio and Schiit Audio with their main production plants in nearby San Diego, CA about possibly demoing their stuff:

I'm good with english lol. I might be going to San Diego too actually. Anything there worth checking out, or any deals you can get directly from these manufacturers?

Dan Clark Audio in San Diego or The Source AV in Torrance. I believe Audeze, and Astell & Kern are nearby as well.

As @Tex Irie has mentioned, Astell & Kern is also in Irvine, CA, which is in greater LA, with their contact info here:

So from looking at The Source AV’s demo area pictures, they do have Schiit DACs and amps ready for auditioning, but not all of them, as they have many more headsets to audition as well. Schiit has almost all of their products ready for demo, but with a more limited selection of headsets, so you can go to TSAV first and if you like their Schiit demo offerings, then you can head over to Schiit Audio’s area and look at even more of their product line. Dan Clark Audio has expensive offerings in the Stealth and Expanse, as well as their electrostatic (needs a specialized amp to power them) VOCE and Corina, but also less expensive offerings, like the Ether and Aeon. TSAV May have these DCA items available for demo, but I am not sure, so plan your trip itinerary in both LA and SD areas accordingly, carefully, and properly.

We actually don’t carry Schiit products. I believe that here in the States its direct sales only
