Any reason to buy hifiman HE-400i when I already have the HE-500?

I am currently running my he500's through a schiit modi and a schiit lyr 2, and I love them. However this time of year brings good sales, and I am seeing he400i's for as low as 250$. At that price, would it be worth it to buy them just to have another nice pair of headphones? Are they different enough from the 500's to justify buying? I bought my dad some he400's, so I have listened to those as well, if that helps as a reference point. I also own some senn hd650's that sadly don't get much use any more since I enjoy my he500's so much. Thanks in advance!

  Comfort.

I figured someone would say that, but I actually don't have much of a problem with the he-500's.

Upon further research it seems hifiman aimed to replicate the sound of the he-500's with the he-400i's, so even though it's a great deal, probably wouldn't make sense for me to buy.

I'm wondering if it would make sense to buy for my dad though? He currently has the he-400's as I mentioned before
