I've been thinking of building a DAC to replace the Fiio E10 that I have currently but I'm not sure that there would really be any reason to do so given my situation. (outside of the joy of a DIY project)
It would be used strictly at my work where I only stream Spotify through a USB connection.
I cannot install Fubar or any loss-less file playing software since it's the work's tower, and the tower has no SPDIF output so I'm stuck using USB only..
I was looking into a y2 but without being able to use SPDIF and USB only supporting 16/44 is there a point to go y2 over something like a y1 lite?
..Is there even a reason to go y1 lite over the Fiio E10 that I have now?
Sorry for all the questions.. I have the itch to build something.. but I want to make sure it won't be all for not.
