Hi there,

Perhaps I should post this in another area (computers as source?)

Anyway does anyone know if there is a way to get my Mac to turn on internet radio at a certain time then close the connection when the show is finished?

I'm hoping that I'll be able to record shows I like while I'm at work - but I'm fearful of getting HUGE files and an equally huge broadband bill.

Will I have to write a complicated script? (shudder!)

Does anyone know if there is a way to do this easily?

Thanks for your help.

Audio Hijack Pro will do this. You can set up a schedule in AH and it will launch the application at the appropriate time and record it. I got it in The Big Mix software I bought. Used it a couple of times. I know there's a few more applications that will do it as well.

Yeah, I've got Audio Hijack Pro. Great I can use it for this.

But tell me - does it really switch on the internet radio broadcast then off again to avoid massive download bills? Or does it marely record a stream at specific times?

Looks cool. Had a good look at the specs but I'm still not sure if it turns the stream on and off with the scheduler or merely records an existing stream at specific times.

Anyone know if these programmes can do this?

Just double-click on one of your presets and check off what you want. Here...

Wow! Thanks for the patience (and not telling me to rtfm) - I'll check it out.

Thanks again.
