This sounds like a great idea, the best attibutes of a Dynamic driver (Bass!) and the accuracy and mids/treble of an armature driver! Is there anything like this in the market place?
Any IEM with a Dynamic driver AND Armature in the same housing?

I think the super.fi 5EB (extra bass) was that. Check ebay.

The SF5EB was not really a success. You could find better dynamic only phones or multi-drivers iem that would outperform this thing.

Anyways, I heard reshelling made a huge difference for the SF5EBs, so it's not like the concept is totally useless. Maybe some manufacturer someday will do it right.

The M-Audio IE-20 XB (which is a rebranded UE Super.fi EB) is still available at a few places for $200. Maximum PC gave it a 9 out of 10 Kick Ass rating.
