What's up Head FI, Havent posted here for around 3 years but recently one of my daily earbuds broke(atomic floyd air jax) and im in desperate need of a new one. 
 
I was wondering if there were any earbuds (not in ear) that provide exceptional sound quality with a microphone. I need one because in ears completely isolate sound, and while on the go i need  to be aware of my surroundings. For reference i usually use the Shure SE846 and Audeze LCD 2 at home, im not expecting much sound quality for ear buds but my ears are a bit spoiled.
 
The price is not a issue, Thanks for the help!

Venture Electronics Monk, Zen, and Asura are all well regarded (personally can vouch for Zen 2), but do not come with a mic- but if you have a DiY mindset could be recabled or have a mic/remote spliced in. http://www.head-fi.org/t/783669/venture-electronics-ve-monk-a-5-earbud-that-seriously-deserves-a-place-here

for what you need, what's wrong with the Apple EarPods?
