Would the hefty price difference between the S1000 Pro and R2000DB be justified?
I particularly love the design of both, along with the inclusion of the remote.

The R2000DB already has outstanding reviews across the board.

Haven't tried these two but just by looking at the cabinets there's a bit of possibility that most of the price difference went there. Maybe the S1000 has a flatter tuning, maybe, but chances are much of the price difference went into the cabinets. Or if they sound more neutral it's less deliberate tuning of the electronics and more likely due to the cabinet not only looking better but possibly also being stiffer.
