a good friend of mine recently got me into Crooked Fingers, and made me a nice mixed CD of some of their songs. i really like "The Rotting Strip," "Big Darkness," "Call to Love," "Doctors of Deliverance," "You Threw a Spark," "Disappear" and "Wrecking Ball." which full length album should i pick up first?
this is great stuff i would have never discovered by myself. it's all sweeping melodies, nice arrangements (i don't want to say sparse because it's nothing but... even the quietest of songs has a bunch of stuff going on in the background) and introspective lyrics sung by the full throated deep voiced Eric Bachmann, who all i know was the lead for 90's indie band Archers of Loaf.
