Thinking of adding the Perreaux as my first non-portable amp and would like to hear from those of you who have the Etymotic er-4s (or the 4p with the s adapter, like I have).
I've tried searching the forum, but the main things I've seen about the pairing revolve around some hum in the .3 rev of the Perreaux, which has apparently been fixed in the .5.
There was one uber thread in which someone said they were listening to the perreaux/ety combo, but that they needed more time to make up their mind about the results.
Now would be a good time to enlighten us
Thanks in advance for the avalance of posts which are sure to come.
Mike
BTW: the source material will (more often than not) be a 3G iPod using the line out functionality, but sometimes a CDP. Clearly in this setup the source would be the weakest link, but all of my CD's are in storage several hundred miles away.
