yeah, the above thread says it all.

but to answer your question, it's not a pure tube amp. it's a hybrid. so, no, it's not your normal SET. (look carefully at the label "Hybrid Headphone Amplifier." and it's cheap cause it's not really an amp either... Joe Lau calls it a "buffer."--though in that thread he contradicts himself. whatever.
