Just looking for something small and at least 8gb to pair with my atrio m8's. Also, I don't like using amps with portable players (kinda defeats the purpose IMO) so line out really doesnt matter to me.

Anyone seen comparisons between meizu and ipod?

from headphone out quality only, the Meizu is considered to have the better sound, although it has problems with hiss (i've heard).

you may also want to consider the cowon D2, iaudio 7, clix2, and the sony 618/818

The Meizu M6SL doesn't hiss. That was an issue with the SP.
