Hi,
I'm pretty new to this whole headphone business and I have already spent my money on an Etymotic ER-6i and an Aria..! Yes, I'm stupid enough to think the ER6i would benefit much from an amp; that's my excuse! But now I've got it I'm not willing to let it go..
I am looking for an open, circumaural headphone for home and the budget is around the Audio-Technica AD700/900 (interested in those two models); there's not really a limit, but I prefer to stay to similar price ranges mentioned. I'd also would like a generous soundstage, but it's not crucial.
I am a big fan of Etymotic; is the ER4S/P a big step up from the ER6i? I heard that the ER6i has about 85% the performance of the ER4 range? What headphones (open circumaural) matches the Aria really well? Anyone used the AD700/900 with the Aria?
Thanks.
Reno
