Hi,

A friend of mine is using it in his recording studio.
It's fully balanced.

LINK

I have tried it with a Sennheiser HD-600 and a Beyerdynamic DT-880.
Very clean and transparent.
The manufacturer is in the Audio Pro.

Looks like a pro audio gear
Audiophile and pro audio are two different tastes

It should cost something like 600 euro.
And it is definitely a pro audio gear.
I've seen it in use in a recording studio, with satisfaction.

Headphone connectors are indeed in the rear panel, but I have noticed that they are specialized in custom orders, so that you might ask them for front panel placement.

I'm more interested in what headphones are sitting on it in the picture, haha

@ the rear placement of cables, it would really depend on the length of the cable, with something like the stock Grado cable, yeah thats ridiculous, with something like the stock Denon cable (you know, a good ~10 ft), I could understand it, coil the cable up and put it on top of the unit, and not have to look at it all the time

::edit
nevermind, random googling and I found what they were

I've seen one or two other models that did that too. I find it incredibly stupid.

I happen to own an amp w/ the jack on the rear, it was a DIY gift so although thankful and appreciative I did not say a thing. Although I wish the jack was in the front. It becomes an issue if you have the amp in a shelf system

, I am considering moving it to the front plate. Maybe in the next few weeks.

+1

Would make it much easier to hook up a K1000.

Sure, an adapter cable (4-pin XLR -> 2 x 3-pin XLR) can be easily made.
But it would be great, and more practical, if both headphone and amplifier vendors agreed on that 4-pin XLR are the standard.
