Sometimes they care enough to give shows decent music, which is a real treat for audiophile otaku's ^_^

anyway, use your favorite file sharing program to pick up the theme to Cowboy Bebop, Tank!. its baddass.
then do yourself a favor and use for favorite file sharing program to pick up an episode of cowboy bebop

Well, speaking of which, I love the Japanese background music for Dragonball Z (not the US version, that BG music is crap).

It only can be had on a special Box set which is extremely hard to find.

Here's the info :

Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z - 5 CD set
Wydawca: Columbia Records
Numery CD: COCC-11547/11548/11549/11550/11551

Anyone can tell me where I can buy this set? Please?

Budgie, a box set for Cowboy Bebop is available for pre-order now.

KR... can you give me a link to that auction for the DBZ set? Not going to buy it, mind you, just want to know if it's produced by SM or EA...

The Akira soundtrack is amazing in so many ways. It is a good workout for a hifi system and still one of my faves... The Macross Plus soundtrack is also cool.

dhwilkin had it pretty much covered w/ lain, eva, escaflowne, and mononoke

Ghost in the Shell! (Hint: search the archives.) The three piece suite is one of my favorite recordings of all time, right up there with Koyaanisqatsi and Hindle Wakes.

I'm a big fan of anime and videogame soundtracks. Some of my favorite anime soundtracks are:

Evangelion (including the movies)
Most of the stuff by Yoko Kanno (Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, etc.)
FLCL (furikuri)

I just wish they weren't so expensive (and many times difficult / impossible to get).

All of the Cowboy Bebop TV DVDs have been released. I hope that the Cowboy Bebop Movie (Knockin' on Heaven's Door) is released on DVD here in the states soon.

Persiflage
